We are a dynamic South African law firm and also the largest law firm in the Northern Cape.
We conduct ourselves with integrity and strongly believe in acting in our clients best interest at all times under all circumstances. Elzaan Botha
LLB North West University Potchefstroom
Ms. Botha was admitted as an attorney in 2016. She specializes in Civil Litigation, Family Law, Labour and Consumer matters along with Debt Reviews. She joined the firm in 2014 as an Article Clerk. Ms Botha is currently the Secretary of the Legal Practise Council in the Northern Cape. Ms. Botha is the current chairperson of Engelsman Magabane Incorporate and has been since 2023.

LLB Potchefstroom University of Higher Christian Education
Mr. Jooste was admitted as an attorney, conveyancer and notary in 2006. He was the founder of Jooste Attorneys which amalgamated with Engelsman Magabane Inc during 2013. He specializes in the fields of Commercial law, Township Planning, Mineral Rights, Conveyancing and all Property Law related matters. He has a dynamic and passionate interest in all property matters.

Mr. Engelbrecht was admitted as an attorney in 1996. He specializes in Civil Litigation, Commercial work, Commercial Law, Insolvency Law, Insolvent Estates, Deceased Estates and Trusts. His expertise are unmatched, with vast knowledge and experience. Mr Engelbrecht also has experience as an appointed liquidator and curator. Mr Engelbrecht is an avid sportsman.

Snyders
LLB. LLM University of the Free State
Ms. Snyders was admitted as an attorney in 2004. She specializes in Civil Litigation with expertise in High Court Litigation, Liquor Law, Mining Rights, Notarial Function and as a Mediator. Ms. Snyders has experience as an appointed liquidator and curator. She obtained her Master of Law (LLM) in 2003 at the University of the Orange Free State. She joined the firm in 2005 and was admitted as a Notary in 2008.

Bode

Mr. Bode was admitted as an attorney in 1988. He specializes in Civil Litigation, Military Law, Criminal Law and Commercial Law. Mr Bode is an extremely passionate legal advisor and has served on numerous boards. He has been serving as a Small Claims Court Commissioner for the past 25 years and also attends to military court hearings. His passion extends to mentoring future candidate attorneys.

Ms. Mahomed was admitted as an attorney in 2016. She specializes in Civil Litigation, Debt Collections, Family Law, Labour Law, Evictions and Notarial Function and is currently pursuing a new role in the conveyancing department. She was admitted as a notary in 2024. She joined the firm in 2017 as a Professional Assistant. She is also a member of the South African Women Lawyers Association in the NC.
History
Our Legacy
Engelsman & Magabane Incorporated is a law firm situated at Bishops Court, Block E. 9 Bishop’s Avenue, Labram, Kimberley in the Northern Cape Province. The firm was established in 1948 by HJ Stander and was originally known as HJ Stander and Partners, but has since changed its name to Engelsman Magabane Incorporated.
The firm incorporated the practices of Roelof Greeff Attorneys during 1997, Coetzee & Associates during 1998 and Jooste Attorneys during 2013. Sadly, the firm mourned the passing of Mr. Magabane during March 2010 and Mr. Van Niekerk in December 2012.

ROELOF GREEFF
Mr. Greeff was admitted as an attorney and conveyancer in 1988 and specializes in Conveyancing.
Shaneal Feltman
Ms. Feltman was admitted as an attorney in 2022. She is currently developing her expertise within the Civil Court Litigation department for the Magistrate’s Court and in Family Law.
Nico Zandberg
Nico Zandberg joined Engelsman Magabane Incorporated as the Office Manager and Financial Officer in April 2019. Holding a B.Com Management Accounting and bringing 24 years of experience in the financial sector, he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s office operations and financial management.
